The Meaning of The Mantle

The mantle represents covering, responsibility, and care.

At The Healing Mantle, it reflects a commitment to care for women with intention. We do this by providing guidance, protection, and support through every stage of their health journey. This is where faith and clinical care come together, not as separate approaches, but as one.

A space where women are seen, heard, and cared for fully.

Our Mission

To provide faith-centered, compassionate, and holistic women’s healthcare that nurtures the body, balances the hormones, and restores the spirit—through personalized care, education, and prayerful support.

Our Philosophy of Care

At The Healing Mantle, I don’t approach women’s health in pieces. I look at the whole picture. Hormones, metabolism, fertility, and your long-term health are all connected… and your care should reflect that.

I’m not here to give you surface-level answers or quick fixes. I take the time to look at patterns, to understand what your body is doing, and to get to the root of what’s going on. This helps us support your body the right way.

There are no two women who are the same. Therefore, your care should never feel like it is.

MY STORY

I’m Retha. Before anything else, I’m a mother—and that part of me has shaped how I approach women’s health more deeply.

I’ve spent over a decade in nursing, working my way through different areas of healthcare—from the ground up into high-acuity settings where decisions are made quickly and the body is often in crisis. That experience taught me how to recognize urgency. It also showed me something just as important… Not every woman presents in crisis, but that doesn’t mean she’s well.

What I began to notice over time were women who felt off… They lacked the space to explore why fully. Concerns were often minimized.

Symptoms were managed—but not deeply understood. And that space in between where something is clearly not right, but not yet critical—

was being overlooked.

The Shift

Things became even more real for me after having my third child. My body changed in ways I didn’t expect. My emotions felt heavier than usual. I remember thinking… something just isn’t right. I didn’t receive answers; I received false reassurance. As a nurse, that didn’t sit well with me. So I started paying closer attention, not just clinically, but personally.

I began connecting things I had seen in patients to what I was experiencing myself.

Hormones. Stress. Weight. Cycles. Energy. Mood. Cardiovascular health.

It all started to make sense differently. It was at that moment that I saw the gap between women’s health and the care we receive.

Why I Do This Work

I didn’t step into this space because I had it all figured out. I stepped into it because I knew women deserved more than quick visits and surface-level answers. I wanted to create a space where:

  • Women feel heard without having to fight for it

  • Their concerns aren’t minimized

  • And their bodies are actually taken seriously

I have been on both sides, as the provider… and as the woman searching for answers. This is why The Healing Mantle exists.

A Personal Note

The Healing Mantle wasn’t built from an idea.

It came from a calling. Healing takes more than knowledge. It takes presence. It takes discernment. It takes actually listening.

The Healing Mantle was created to change the dynamics of the care women receive. This is a space where faith and medicine come together in a real way. A place where women are cared for fully, not just physically, but as a whole.
